Our campaign consists of 20 Simple Acts that have something to do with refugees. If everyone does at least one of these simple actions, we can make a big change to the way refugees are perceived.
It sounds simple - and it is.
We're asking bloggers to to take part in the Simple Acts campaign by picking 1 of the 20 simple acts and blogging about it.
Here's some ideas of what you could write about:
- If you're a film blogger, you could watch one of the films being shown as part of Refugee Week's mini-season at the BFI.
- If you blog about books, why not read one of the novels listed here and give your views
- If you're a food blogger, you could cook a meal from another country and show others how you did it
- If you blog about music, why not share a song from a foreign country
- Or if you're stuck for ideas, you're simple act could be to define the word 'Refuge' and write a post on it
Once you've written a post, don't forget to tag it 'Simple Acts' and add your completed action to the Simple Acts website. This post counts as our Simple Act, so we've added one more to the actions completed.
You can also follow the Simple Acts campaign on Twitter by following @simple_acts and we'll be tweeting any blog posts that we do spot!
To kick things off, we're going to tag a few people into the meme. So Dominic Campbell, Dan McQuillan, Ben Matthews, Chris Applegate, Jaz Cummins and Chris Anderson, we look forward to seeing your Simple Acts blog posts :)
